A river lodge in the countryside, in the heart of Västra Götaland

Herrtorps Qvarn is located in the heart of Skaraborg, by the shore of the Flian river, not far from Lake Hornborgasjön. In actual fact, not far from anything. This location is close to important cultural heritage sites, like Varnhem and Gudhem, Hornborga and the megalithic monuments of Falbygden, Läckö with the Vänern Archipelago, as well as the wonderful mountain of Kinnekulle.
The local area is a living small-scale farming community, where ancient meadows and fields are interspersed with megalithic graves, stone circles, and a landscape of breath-taking natural beauty. This is a place for all five senses, which has inspired humans for centuries. Nowadays, Skaraborg is home to many food creators, craftsmen and artists.
